Every now and then, I bartend and cater for a guy named Alan Abrams. He’s an awesome chef, and takes care of all the food for events at the Walter Reade Theatre @ Lincoln Center…I work for him usually during Film Society events, as a bartender. But he makes the most ridiculously amazing cheese plates (and, really, everything else. Seriously.) We finished setting up really early today, so I shot the new sunflowers, which were the table centerpieces, and shot the food. And at the end of the night, when we get to take little breaks while patrons are leaving, we get to snack. And it’s just bad news for me.

For the record, this and the last one are NEW shots, not just shots from the same original series you saw before. Same technique, different room, different day, different camera even.

I saw this poster in the subway for some TV show, I wasn’t paying attention. Regardless, someone did what I feel is a great job bearding and moustaching this chick. And I laughed, and I snapped the shot, and I got on the train a happy camper.

Ok. I didn’t take this picture. I actually had nothing to do with this photo except that I was in it.

I was at the GOODTIME CHARLEY little closing party at the York theatre a couple weeks ago, and I’d said hi to Larry Grossman (on the right) a few minutes before. I’d worked with him on MINNIE’S BOYS. After about 5 mintues or so, I feel a tap on my shoulder, and Larry’s behind me, and says “Hey, Nick, I want you to meet someone,” and he pulls me aside, and introduces me to Joel Grey. I had no idea what to say…I’m sure I was a bumbling idiot. But it was insanely cool, and I was ridiculously excited to meet him. So my friend Shahna, from the York, took this photo! I just got a copy in my email, and had to post it.

It’s probably the coolest photo I’ve ever been in. Second only to the photo of me when I was 5 high-fiving Arnold Schwarzennegger on the set of Terminator 2. Sorry to break the rules… I feel like this is turning into more “blog” than “photo”…weird….

Tonight I introduced my friends Kristen and Bryan from the York Theatre to one of my favorite places in NYC, Lucky Burger. If you haven’t had it, go. Yesterday. Just…just so good. I rode my bike 15 miles today to work off the cheddar burger, fries, and mocha shake. But it was worth it.

So glad I happened to glance over and see the quiet hilarity on the door to the next car.

Maybe I didn’t take this myself. But I find it amusing. And I set the camera up and got it ready. And I positioned the flash. Then I handed it to Kirsten, and Sarah threw a Michigan bear at me, and I made a funny face. So all I didn’t do, really, was throw a bear and press the shutter. It’s my site. I do what I want!

Kirsten and I have reallybad ADD when we’re together and we hit tangents like the space shuttle hits the pavement. When it lands, not…not if it doesn’t make it. Wheels spinny burny rubber. Safety first, kids.
